About Us

Mission Statement

At Campos Sports, our mission is to show up for children and youth using baseball as a tool to mentor, build relationships, and teach life values. We aim to inspire each child to know they matter, discover their God-given purpose, and grow into individuals who will impact their communities and change lives around them.

Vision Statement

We envision a generation of confident, value-driven young people who rise above their circumstances and lead lives of purpose. Through the foundation of sports, mentorship, and faith, we believe these youth will not only experience personal transformation but will also become a force for good—bringing positive change to their families, schools, and communities.

Our Impact

Campos Sports exists to show up—to be present in the lives of children and youth who need to know they are loved, valued, and not alone. We use baseball as more than a game; it’s a pathway to mentor young athletes, teaching them discipline, teamwork, and responsibility while building real relationships grounded in trust and love.

Through weekly practices, league participation, educational support, and consistent encouragement, we seek to make a lasting impact. We support not just the athlete, but the whole family—offering prayer, mentorship, and practical help when needed.

At the heart of it all is the belief that when you invest in a child’s life with love, guidance, and opportunity, you can truly change lives—starting with one child, one team, one community at a time.

Founder’s Story

We never set out to start an organization. In fact, it all began with a beat-up baseball, a handful of kids, and a Sunday afternoon on a small island in Mazatlán, Mexico.

Our family had come to Mazatlán for a season of missions, simply wanting to serve and follow God’s leading. One weekend, my husband—just being a dad—was hoping to find a few people to toss the ball around with him and our son. Someone introduced us to a small group of kids on the island, and that casual game turned into something much more.

We didn’t have a plan or program, but it quickly became clear that God was doing something special. As we returned week after week to play, talk, and build friendships, we felt God speak something simple yet powerful to our hearts: “Keep showing up.”

So we did. And as we kept showing up, something beautiful began to grow. What started with a few baseball games became a rhythm of mentorship, encouragement, and real connection. A dream started to form, one where sports could open the door to something much greater: community, discipleship, and hope.
That dream became Campos Sports.

Today, Campos Sports is a growing ministry built on the foundation of showing up consistently, loving intentionally, and pointing young people to the One who made them. Through baseball, we’ve been given the privilege of walking alongside children and youth as they discover their identity, build character, and dream about their future. We are continually humbled that God would entrust us with these young lives. And we believe this is just the beginning of something much greater than us, something only He can do.

We’re still showing up, and we invite you to join us.

Love,

Familia Maciel
